MEET THE COACH

Mike Perez has been head coach of the Austrian Women’s National Team since 2011.  A Johns Hopkins Alumnus, Perez played on the NCAA Championship Team in 1974. 

Coach Perez began his coaching career developing youth lacrosse in Massachusetts, and then coached high school girls in Florida at St Edward’s School and Sebastian River HS.

Coach Perez comes to Austria regularly to run weekend training camps with the Austrian Women’s Development Team and coach the Senior Women’s Field Team for International Competition. He has been a fundamental component of Austria’s competitive development in international lacrosse, joining the team at:

* The European Championships in Amsterdam, 2012

* The World Championships in Oshawa, 2013

* The European Championships in Nymburk, 2015

* The European Championships in Netanya, 2019

* The World Championships in Towson, 2022

Coach Perez will put on his famous baseball cap once again, and coach the team for the European Championships in Braga, 2024.
