lax2gether and youth training

ÖLaxV

LAX2GETHER (L2G) represents the youth and coach development program of the ÖLaxV, which is dedicated to promoting the lacrosse and intercrosse community in Austria. Our goal is to spread the love of lacrosse and its principles throughout the country. L2G is run by a dynamic team of young professionals with backgrounds in physical education who are united by their enthusiasm for lacrosse and education.

This initiative aims to introduce lacrosse and intercrosse into schools and provide opportunities for school children to discover and engage with these fantastic sports.

The L2G Adopt-a-School program is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of lacrosse. It brings either lacrosse or intercrosse directly to schools throughout Austria and is intended to spark enthusiasm for the sport among both teachers and students. In addition, the initiative strives to establish inter-school competitions. Experienced lacrosse players work with schools to offer exciting coaching sessions and competitions. Participants, both students and teachers, can look forward to the following benefits:

  • Enjoy a vibrant lacrosse learning environment
  • Develop hand-eye coordination, quick decision-making, and speed through competitive play
  • Positive social experiences promoted through team sports
  • Introduction to competitive youth lacrosse on a club basis
  • Contact with one of the fastest growing international sports
  • The coaches leading the sessions are certified coaches who come from the Austrian national development team and the active club system.
  • They work with school physical education teachers to create programs that fit both the school and student schedules.
