ÖLaxV

Our mission & Vision

The ÖLaxV is the umbrella organization of Austrian lacrosse and intercrosse clubs.

The growth and professionalization of sport is important to us. We are the contacts for the clubs when it comes to youth work, league operations, the further development of regulations, the professionalization of trainer and official training and all other topics that advance lacrosse and intercrosse in Austria!

HISTORY OF AUSTRIA LACROSSE

Lacrosse made its debut in Salzburg in 2001, with the formation of the ÖLaxV in 2005 to unite Austrian lacrosse clubs. Beginning in 2006, both men’s and women’s national championships have been conducted under the Austrian Lacrosse League.

Additionally, since 2008, the ÖLaxV has been fielding national teams for participation in the European and World Championships organized by international associations. In our efforts to advance sports in Austria, we concentrate on fostering growth by assisting in the establishment of new clubs and enhancing youth programs.

We also prioritize professionalization by providing training for referees and coaches to enhance qualifications.
